Bodies.-A sound-proof cellular floor board comprises a framing 2 spacing two sound proof sheets 3 one or both of which are covered by plywood boards 4 The cellular spaces may be filled with sound-absorbing material. Fig. 2 shows a modification in which the framing 2 spaces a sound proof sheet 3 and a plywood board 4, a pad of rubber 6 being interposed where a pedal or the like passes through the floor, the rubber closely embracing the shank 9 of the pedal. Fig. 3 shows another form in which one or more central ribs 12 space a board 11 and a soundproof sheet 13, the edges of the board being provided with framing 14. Any aperture in the floor board may be covered by sponge rubber.
