Abstract

1449675 Laminates VITA INTERNATIONAL Ltd 16 April 1974 [5 April 1973] 16258/73 Heading B5N [Also in Division F2] A laminated block comprises a pad of foamed polymeric material with flat opposite faces 13, to each of which is secured a sheet of elastomeric material 12 having its edges inset from the sides 10, 11, of the pad, the pad having its sides 10, 11 treated to reduce the absorbency thereof. The pad may comprise a plurality of layers 15, 16, Fig. 3, bonded together. The sides 10, 11 may be completely covered with a porous layer 14, Fig. 1, for example rubber latex adhesive, or partially covered with a non-porous layer 18, Fig. 3. A thickness of between 8 and 24 inches is quoted.
