Abstract

318,469. Durand & Huguenin Akt.- Ges. Sept. 1, 1928, [Convention date]. Dye preparations.-In dyeing and printing cotton fibres with mordant dyes, urea is added to the dye paste, dye bath or printing colour; in some cases the quantity of mordant usually employed being increased. The fastness and intensity of the colours are improved. According to examples of printing pastes, a mordant dyestuff is mixed with urea, hot water and acid starch tragacanth thickening or tragacanth thickening, and after cooling, chromium acetate added. The dyestuffs specifically mentioned are Chromazurin E, Chromazurin G, Azol printing red R, Azol printing orange R, Azol printing brown 3 R, Polytrope orange 2 R and Alizarin viridin FF paste.
