Abstract

318,384. Waddington, J. Aug. 29, 1928. Road-traffic signals on vehicles.-Directionsignalling apparatus for use on road-vehicles comprises an arrow-shaped arm 1 mounted so as to be moveable in both horizontal and vertical planes. The arm is pivoted on a pin 2 carried by plates 3 secured to a plate 5 which is rotatable in a recessed plate 6 secured to the roof 10 of the vehicle. A hand lever 15 rotates the arm 1 through a toothed quadrant 12 and a gear 11, and when the arm is turned into the desired vertical plane, the lever 15 engages a notch and holds the arm fixed. The arm may be fitted with reflectors or with a lamp 60 and a glass cap 65.
