Supports.-Dynamos are bolted to an intermediate base 12, which is slidable on the main base 5 and is adjusted by screws 13, 14 respectively secured to vertical walls 1, 3 of the base 12 and passing through removable and fixed flanges 2, 4 of the base 5. The driving-belt is tensioned by screwing up a nut 6 and slacking a nut 7, which may bear on a spring 8 for keeping the nut 6 tight. The base 12 has lips 10, 11 sliding under flanges of the base 5, slackness being prevented by clamping-screws e, f engaging slots e<1>, f<1>, through which lubricant may be supplied.
