Abstract
230,687. Mitchell, C. G. July 14, 1924. Frames, adjustable, for built-in lockers.-Relates to securing wall cabinets, switch boxes, &c. in recesses with the box framing flush with or resting against the face of the wall, and consists of means whereby screws engaging tapped holes in the box are rotatable, but not axially movable, in the frame. Fig. 5 shows a part-section of a box 30 recessed into the wall 12 and secured by screws 27 passed through a flanged frame 15 into threaded holes 28 in the box flange 29. In this form, the screws are prevented from endwise movement by soft-metal collars 33 fitted in grooves 32 under the screw-heads. Fig. 3 shows a modification in which the screws 20 are mounted in slotted plates 21 secured to a flanged frame, holes 24 smaller than the screwheads being provided for the passage of a screwdriver. In this modification, the box 11 is formed of lighter gauge material, the flange 13 being folded to give the necessary hold for the screws.
