Abstract

317,747. Hudson, R. J. H. May 21, 1928. Folding seats. - A folding seat is so constructed that, as the two seat members are folded, the hinge, between them moves in a plane perpendicular to the plane of the extended seat, and the members finally lie in or close to said perpendicular plane. Such a walking-stick seat is shown in Figs. 5 and 7, the seat members 1 being hinged together at 2 and being supported by brackets 3, hinged to the members 1 at 6 and to the support S at 4. Fig. 3 (1, 2, 3) illustrates an application of the invention to a boat seat.
