Abstract

291,491. Howe, C. W. C., and McMillan, F. Nov. 14, 1927. Tables convertible into travelling-cases and the like.-In a travelling-case, portmanteau, attachÚ case, or like article of the kind convertible into a picnic table, the legs d are pivoted in U-shaped brackets g at the corners of the case, and are held in the open position by spring detents h. The legs are shown on the right-hand side of Fig. 3 in their folded-down position, and on the lefthand side in their opened-out position. The case shown consists of two substantially equal parts a, b connected by hinges c, which have strengthening parts c<1>, c<2>. It may have an inner case i for the storage of food &c. In a modification the cover is separable from the body of the cover, and either the cover or the body, or both may be provided with foldable or collapsable legs as described.
