Diving - chambers. - A diving-chamber suspended from a floating vessel has resilient devices included in the supporting-gear so as to yield to the movement of the floating vessel. The chamber 1 is supported from the surface vessel by a rope 2 attached to a pulley 3 fast on the same axle 5 as the pulley 6 to which is secured a rope 7 which after passing over a fairlead 8 is attached to the plunger 9 which works in a pneumatic cylinder 10 having pipes 11, 13 which communicate with an air bottle 12. The pneumatic chamber may be interposed directly in the suspension rope 2 or may be replaced by elastic strings or springs.
