Abstract

316,768. Sch÷nemann, W. July 28, 1928. Folding brackets; garment racks and hangers. -A wall arm 1, for suspending garments, is of channel section and its inner end has a slot 7 to receive a pivot pin 2 extending between lugs 4 of a wall bracket 3 so that the arm can be turned upwards against the wall or extended horizontally, in which position it is supported by a member 8, shaped to fit the channel, extending between the lugs 4. The slot may be slightly inclined so that the arm when in the vertical position is jammed against the rear part of the bracket. Hooks 9, 15 are provided on the pivot pin 2 and upon a pin at the outer end of the arm respectively. The sides of the arm, at its outer end, are bent onwardly in opposite directions at right-angles to the arm, to form extensions 10 to receive hooks 13 on a plate 12 secured to a coat hanger 11. The hanger is provided with the usual suspending hook 14. The arm may be strengthened by a bar 16.
