Garment racks.-A garment suspending device for wardrobes &c. consists of a swinging rod with a cranked portion near its hinged end so as to off. set the greater portion of its length from the hinged end. In the construction shown a hanger consists of a pair of parallel bars a, a<2>, the inner ends of which are bent to engage sockets d in a wall plate d<2>, the lower bar a being cranked at a<4>, near its hinged end, so as to offset the bar a relative, to the bar a<2>. In a modification the inner ends of the bars a, a<2> are secured to a vertically disposed pin rotatably secured to a plate attached to the ceiling of a wardrobe &c.
