Abstract
289,614. Birnbaum, D. March 30, 1927. Coat hangers. - A folding coat hanger comprises two arms e pivoted at f in a central U-shaped metal centre piece b to which the hook c is attached bv means of a transverse piece d. The arms e are solid and are slotted to house the hook when the hanger, as shown in Fig. 3, is in the folded position. The end e<1> of the arms are notched at g to form a space in which the transverse piece d is located, the arms abutting below this piece to render the hanger rigid. The hook may be loosely secured to a loop i in the centre piece, as shown in Fig. 8, the arms being bevelled at i to accommodate the lower part of the hook and abutting below the bevelled parts.
