Abstract

316,712. Lattimer, T., J. May 18, 1928 Heating by electricity.-An immersion heater comprises a chamber 5 with inclined walls against which the heating elements 4 are pressed by a member 12 shaped to correspond to the chamber and separate from the heating elements. The member 12 is moved by means of a bolt 9 which screws into a bridge piece 6. The head of the bolt is held in a recess in the member 12 by means of a screwed ring 13. The terminals of the heating elements are mounted on a bridge piece 15 held in position by a nut 16. The chamber may be circular or polygonal in cross. section.
