Abstract

316,065. Ballard, r. R. Nov. 8, 1928. Gaiters. - To each side of a gaiter is fastened a strap 2 or the like having a hook element 3 for co-operating with a complementary eye element 6 on each side of a boot or shoe, thereby obviating the use of a strap passing under the instep of the boot or shoe. The strap 2 may have adjustment means provided at 4. The fastening element 3 is preferably a flat hook which lies flat against the shoe when engaged by the eye portion of the fastening element 6. The pair of fastening elements 6 may be carried on a plate passing under the instep.
