Laminated wood. - A multiply wood panel for walls and floors has a core board built up by cementing together pairs ab, cd of pre-cemented together thin boards with all the grain in one direction and faced with a veneer e with grain set transversely as described in the parent Specification, the panel being then backed by battens f cemented at intervals and parallel to the grain of the veneer. In fitting to a wall any concavity in the panel is taken out by nailing it to upper and lower rails h, i, and so straining it over a middle rail g. A moulded cornice j and skirting board k are provided. In Fig. 6 the battens f of alternate panels are deeper than others, so that alternate panels are set back the space at the skirting being filled in by a piece l. For floors the battens f are grooved at m and each panel is fitted to its neighbour by loose tongue strips n.
