Abstract

Moulds. - A mould for pressed stone blocks comprises end walls disposed within a rectangular stationary frame upon mutuallydisplaceable transverse heads slidably mounted on the sides of the frame. As shown, a frame is composed of heads a, b connected by rods c supporting transverse heads d, e, f. The heads d, fare adjustably coupled by rods g and the end walls t are secured to the heads e, f. Simultaneous and opposite movement is imparted to the heads e, f by a double-threaded screw i operable by a handwheel k, or by eccentrics or cranks. The side walls o are forced together, against the action of springs by wedge members m adjustably secured to the heads e, f and engaging wedges n secured to the sides o which are supported by telescopic guides p, q. Wedges and rollers may be employed, or the sides may be operated from the ends through bell-crank or toggle levers.
