Abstract

315,163. Fisher, G. H., and McAllen, T. Oct. 24, 1928. Trusses.-An external truss for treating prolapse of the uterus and preventing protrusion thereof consists of a rigid curved frame or cradle having a longtiudinal slot into which the lips of the vagina enter. The truss may be made of reinforced rubber, or a frame of aluminium or other wire may be sheathed in rubber. The rubber sheathing may be on the side members B only, or it may totally enclose the frame. Loops A are provided to receive buckle straps attached to the corset or body belt. Urination may be effected without removal of the truss. Specification 24523/05 is referred to.
