Abstract

367,143. Buckles. MAISSEL, N., 47, Wellington Avenue, South Tottenham, London. Jan. 26, 1931, No. 2511. [Classes 43 and 141.] A device to obviate the risk of drowning in a bath, comprises a chin support 8, Fig. 1, which is secured to a fixed surface such as the sides of the bath or a rubber mat 1 the latter being secured to the bath by means of hooks 3 engaging the rim of the bath and by means of rubber &c. suckers on its under surface. The support 8 is provided with straps 9 each carrying a buckle comprising a wire frame 10 bent to form a handle 11 and carrying a cross-bar 12 around which is passed a strap 7 secured to the mat. Alternatively, the support 8 may be releasable on one side only or else adjustable on both sides.
