315,103. Marks, E. C. R., (Parke, Davis, & Co.). July 16, 1928. Gelatine.-In making gelatinous bottle-caps, the cap is treated on its external surface only with a tanning solution to make it insoluble and non- tacky without affecting its tensile strength. The tanning solution may comprise a higher aldehyde, or benzaldehyde, or solutions containing a reagent possessing an aldehyde, radical, glycerine, and water.
