Delivery of articles sfored in piles; casings. - Cigarettes are delivered by rollers 8, 9, Fig. 2, from magazines 13, 14 arranged along the sloping sides of a triangular casing, comprising a small portable apparatus, the base 1 of which is formed as an ash tray. The magazines are held in position by lugs 16, which assist also in enclosing the rollers, and by a slidable cap 15 secured by a lock. The rollers, which have grooves 12 to receive a cigarette, are operated by handles 10, Fig. 3, and have the portions 21, 22 between the cigarette-carrying portions made of elongated form. in cross-section to actuate levers 25, 26 for imparting movement to a reciprocable coin controlled bar 28, and also a lever 47 which prevents both rollers from being turned simultaneously. Vertical sliding movement of the bar 28 is normally prevented by a lever 44 pivoted thereto at 31, a nose 33 on the lever engaging a fixed stop 46 on an end wall 5 of the casing. Coin action, with stationary coin forming abutment.-A coin is inserted through a slot 37 in the cap 15 and enters a passage formed by a central plate 7 and a plate 34 spaced therefrom. It rests between, the side 49 of the bar 28 and a pin 41 carried by a lever 39 controlled by a spring 43. When a roller is rotated, a lever 25 or 26 depresses the bar 28 and a pin 45 on the lever 44 engages the coin so that the lever 44 is turned aside, against the action of a spring 32, to clear the abutment 46. Coin-discharging mechanism. -- The pin 45 finally forces the coin past the pin 41 on the lever 39 which is pressed back in opposition to the spring 43.
