Abstract

312,791. Avery, Ltd., W. & T., and Sykes, C. M. May 19, 1928. Compound-lever apparatus; levers; apparatus fitted to overhead tracks.- In a weighing-apparatus of the kind incorporated in an overhead runway or track the weighing rail or track is carried by a cradle-like structure disposed above the weighing levers and resting on bearings thereon. The weighing rail 4 is secured at each end to a C-shaped bracket 5. The brackets are connected by a tie rod 6 to constitute a cradle-like structure, and are supported by adjustable bearing blocks 7 resting on knife-edges 8a carried by the forked extremities 8<c>, 8<d>, of levers 8. The levers 8 are fulcrumed on knife-edge hearings 9<a> supported from the ceiling 10 by adjustable hangers 9. The inner ends of the levers 8 are connected by a transfer lever to an automatic indicating mechanism. Adjustable tie rods 4<a>, 4<b> pivotally connect the. fixed rail 4' with arms 5<a>, on the cradle.
