Developing apparatus; diazotype processes. - A liquid alkaline developer is applied in a very thin uniform layer simultaneously over the whole width of the image to be developed by moving the prints over a stationary pad of absorptive material soaked in the developing liquid. The prints q may, for example be drawn between a pressure bar u and a long pad i of felt or flannel resting in a trough k supplied with developer through a sunken channel k<1>, ledges m being provided to wipe surplus liquid from the prints as they emerge. Alternatively, the prints may be drawn upwards over a pad resting on a support of quadrantal section, the lower edge of the pad dipping into a trough of the developer.
