Moving-chamber apparatus.-A device for delivering measured quantities of syrups or acid liquids from a receptacle 3 comprises a vessel 2 formed with a reduced opening 2b at the top adapted to slide over the neck 3<a> of the inverted receptacle, and with a spout 2<c> having a delivery opening 2d through which a certain amount of liquid is displaced when the vessel is moved upwards. The lower position of the vessel 2 is arranged so that the liquid rises to a level therein which is sufficient to seal the open end of the receptacle 3 but not to overflow through the spout 2<c>. The opening 2<b> is formed in a removable ring 2e. The vessel 2 may be of glass, porcelain, or earthenware, and is carried on a slide 7 moving on guides 8<a>, the amount of vertical movement, and therefore of liquid dispensed, being varied by adjusting screw stops 4<c>, 9<a>.
