Loud-speakers.-In a sound-reproducing device or loud-speaker of the kind in which a diaphragm a, which may be conical, as shown, or of any desired shape, hermetically and resiliently closes one end c of a baffle tube b, the length of which is at least one-and-ahalf times the mean diameter of the diaphragm, the other end e of the tube is open. The space f within the tube may be used to house any accessory or operating parts for the loud-speaker. The tube is formed of, or lined with, a material which has little mechanical resonance or is a bad conductor of sound. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states also that the end c of the tube may be closed. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
