Abstract
309,474. Universal Winding Co., (Assignees of Wolf, E. A. de). April 11. 1928, [Convention date]. Creel arrangements.-A holder for yarn or like packages comprises a support 2, Fig. 2, engaging the interior of the package C so as to prevent undesired rotation while permitting intentional e.g. manual rotation, and a member 25 rotatable thereon and adapted to secure the package in place longitudinally of the support 2. The holder 2 is formed with ribs 14 which engage the tube c while the member 25 comprises a coiled wire ring guided in slots 24 in the ribs 14. The holder is particularly adapted for use with the magazine creel described in Specification 293,439, [Class 142 (iv), Woven fabrics &c.], the end y<1> on the cop C, Fig. 1, being tied to the leading end x on the reserve cop C<1> to provide a continuous delivery. The yarn y is tensioned by passing between discs 9 in tension devices 6.
