Abstract
309,357. Vereinigte Fabriken Landwirtschaftlicher . Maschinen vorm. Epple & Buxbaum. May 31, 1928, [Convention date]. Manure, seed, &c. distributers.- In a machine for spreading manure, seeds, &c. the material is discharged from a container by two smooth rollers of different size forming the bottom closure of the container, one of the rollers being spring mounted and adjustable by means of an eccentric, and both rollers being driven at approximately the same angular speed. The smaller roller c is carried by pivoted levers d each connected by a rod v to a spring-controlled rod g, so that the roller c is normally pressed against the larger roller b. The roller c is adjusted by turning an eccentric h bearing against a rearward extension w of the rod v. The rollers are driven from the axle u and are constructed of wooden strips z fixed in notched discs on a longitudinal tube 5, the spaces between the strips being filled by wedge-shaped wooden strips glued to the strips z. The notched discs are provided with air holes. The roller b is scraped by a notched scraper l carried' by adjustable arms 7. The material is reduced between the rollers and is divided by the notched scraper. It falls through an openended box p provided with baffle pins n. The box acts as a wind screen and is pivotally supported by rods r and pressed against the roller b by springs s.
