Refrigerating, absorption systems for.-In a continuous-cycle system of the kind comprising a generator 5, gas separator 8, absorber 3, reabsorber 2, and cold producer 1, an ice-making chamber 18 is disposed in the pipe 12 through which the weak solution from the cold producer passes to the re-absorber. An inert gas such as air circulates through the absorber 3 and the cold producer 1, and superfluous liquor in the cold producer flows through a liquid seal 17 with the absorber.
