Hydraulic transmission of power.-A coupling of the F÷ttinger type subdivided into two or more units has separate outlets, the inlets being either separate or in common. The driving sections 3<a>, 3b of all the units 5<a>, 5b are rigidly connected to the driving shaft 2 and the driven sections 4a, 4b to the driven shaft 7. The inlet channels 16, 18 and the outlet channels 22, 24 of all the units may be controlled in common, and the arrangement may be such that the units are brought into action successively. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) describes also the arrangement shown in Fig. 2 (Cancelled), in which a lever 28 operates inlet valves 30, 31 through a rod 29 and outlet valves 21, 23 through a rod 32. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
