Abstract

307,129. Fazi, F. de. Dec. 14, 1927. Stream-cutting machines. - A machine for cutting dough into strips comprises a pair of rollers C, D, the journals of which are housed in slots H in side members of a frame B the slots having a vertical edge against which the journals are forced by slots L in arms I pivoted at J to the frame. The arms I are connected by a bar K having a slotted lug N<3> to accommodate a screw N fitted with an adjustable clamping-nut N<2>. The screw N is carried by a bar N', Fig. 15, constrained by a spring N<4> to remove the screw N from the slotted lug upon release of the nut. The roller C comprises a metal tube C, Fig. 6, mounted upon heads C' on the strip F. The roller D comprises a shaft G, Fig. 10, carrying a series of disc knives E spaced apart by washers D<1> furnished with projections D<3> engaging corresponding holes in the knives and recesses D<2> in adjacent washers. The rollers are interconnected by gears Q and are turned by a spindle on the shaft G. A guard plate O, Fig. 4, clears the roller C of dough.
