Abstract

306,014. Martin, H. Nov. 12, 1927. Tell-tale, apparatus.-Relates to apparatus for indicating, recording and integrating electrically the flow of fluids. As shown, a meter for measuring the flow of gas or steam of the type described in Specification 221,915, [Class 110 (ii), Rotary engines &c.], and comprising a vane 6 driven at a speed proportional to the flow of fluid under the control of a vane 7 rotating in a liquid 8, drives an electric generator 2 adapted to generate a voltage proportional to the flow and operate an indicating instrument 16, a recorder 17 and an integrating instrument 18 which may be of the volt-hour meter type as described in Specification 260,323. The generator 2 may be a magneto machine or may be separately excited with a highly saturated fluid provided if necessary with a few turns of compound winding.
