Abstract

304,166. Garratt, A. H., and Kirton, W. Oct. 15, 1927. Suspending curtains. - Curtains are suspended from runners 10 arranged within a pair of parallel tracks 1 formed by a central strip 3 and two side strips 4, the runners 10 and the operating cord 6, which is threaded through apertures in the runners, being contained wholly within the tracks. The cord 6 is guided by porcelain end fittings or pulleys and is secured to desired runners by a hook 12 having a screwed, clamping end. The curtains are secured to the hooks 12 of the runners by hooks 16 attached to the curtains by a heading tape 15 with pairs of eyelets &c. The three strips forming the tracks may be held together by metal plates 5 or by a board. In order to keep the cord within the tracks, sleeve-like members may be threaded on the cord at intervals. The runners may be made of fibre.
