301,893. Teltschik & Co., E. Dec. 9, 1927, [Convention date]. Plastic compositions containing oxychlorides.- A composition resembling stone comprises vegetable ivory and magnesium oxychloride cement. The vegetable ivory after being ground is treated with dilute acid or alkaline solution, washed in running water and dried. It is then saturated with magnesium chloride solution and magnesium oxide is added. Waterproofing substances, such as solutions of rubber, celluloid, or synthetic resin, and colouring matter may be added. In an example 50 parts of washed vegetable ivory are saturated with 60 parts of a 30 per cent solution of magnesium chloride, and 24 parts of magnesium oxide are added. To the mixture 15 parts of a 3 per cent solution of rubber in benzol are added.
