300,936. Macintosh & Co., Ltd., C., Brazier, S. A., and Hurlston, E. H. Aug. 19, 1927. Ccmpositions.-In the manufacture of transparent or translucent rubber, a zinc or cadmium salt of an organic fatty acid, such as stearic palmitic, oleic or linoleic acid, is included in the mix prior to vulcanization. In an example, the mix contains 95.5 per cent pale crepe rubber, 2 per cent sulphur, 2 per cent zinc stearate, and 0.5 per cent zinc diethyl dithiocarbamate.
