Abstract

Angular bending: dies. - Channel bars and H-bars are curved in the plane of the web by dies 2, 3 and a reciprocating bifurcated die 1, the die members operating either on the inner faces of the flanges or on opposite sides of the flange 6' which is to be bent to convex form. The dies may be provided with a block 7 adjusted by a wedge 8 and acting on the outer face of a flange in order to limit the tension in the web. The dies 2, 3 may bend the bar about a stationary central die. The dies 2, 3 may also be bifurcated.
