Abstract

300,448. Haddan, R., (Auto Deflector Co., Inc.). March 9, 1928. Lantern screens.-An anti-dazzle screen for a vehicle head light comprises a wedge-shaped frame 1 of opaque sheet material having sharply converging sides 2, an arcuate top portion 4 and parallel curved slats 6 extending between the sides and concentric with a disc 10 located directly in front of the light source 15, the screen being supported, by tabs 12, 14, in proximity to the lens L of the lamp. The tabs are bendable and may be bent over the rim of the lamp. The slats 6 and disc 10 are inclined downwardly and forwardly to reflect the rays on to the road. Two such wedge-shaped screens may be combined, one above and one below the centre of the lamp. Specifications 100,458, 174,738 and 229,228 are referred to.
