Abstract

300,155. Hunt, r. G. Aug. 6, 1927. Vacuum tubes.-A holder for electrical apparatus having contact pins at each end that must be inserted laterally into the corresponding contacts, for example a multielectrode valve such as that described in Specification 275,335, comprises a number of contacts 6 each comprising a pair of resilient jaws. A base 1 carries at each end an insulating block 2, 3 on which metal blocks 4 are mounted and connected to terminals 7. Resilient brass &c., strips are inserted in slots 5 in the blocks 4 to form contact jaws between each pair of which a pin on,the valve &c., engages. The strips may be both inserted in one slot in the block 4 and bent to form recesses or projections to engage with the pins. A projection 15, Fig. 5, prevents the incorrect insertion of the end of the valve carrying three pins into the end of the holder having two contacts. A shield 10 is attached to the holder by screws 13 and positioned by an abutment 14.
