Abstract

Stoppers fitted with withdrawing-devices.- Relates to crimped bottle caps having an incorporated opener in the form of a loop which extends between the cap and the cork packing disc. According to the invention a cap 5 is provided with a loop 10 the ends of which engage underneath the crimp of the cap at a. considerable circumferential distance apart so that an extended portion of the flange 7 is bent outwardly when the loop is tilted upwardly. The ends 20 of the loop may be separate from the cap and formed to lever against the end of the bottle 1 when the loop is pulled up. The packing disc 9 may also be separate from the cap and be applied to the bottle neck. In the form shown in Fig. 5, the free ends of the loop are bent towards each other and are inserted between the packing and the cap. The loop 10 is of comparatively stiff wire to facilitate bending the flange without bending the wire.
