Abstract

Axle trucks and bogies. - In a truck for an electrically driven vehicle of the kind having the electric driving motor disposed on the truck with its axis lying longitudinally and arranged to drive one or both axles, one axle is mounted in an extension of the motor casing and the other in a framework capable of swivelling about the motor concentrically with the motor shaft. The motor casing 1, to which the casing 10 carrying the axle 11 is rigidly attached, is mounted in bearings 20, 17 on a frame 2 rigidly attached to a casting 6 carrying the axle 3 so that the axle 11 can rotate about the longitudinal axis of the motor relatively to the axle 3. The axles 11, 3 are driven by gear wheels. 14, 12 and 13, 7 respectively.
