Abstract

299,323. Swiss Locomotive & Machine Works. Oct. 21, 1927, [Convention date]. Heat of compression, absorbing ; revolving- cylinder pumps. - A rotary air compressor and its driving motor 4 are mounted on a box 5 which contains cooling water 10 and a filter 16. Air drawn in through filter 7 and compressed in the first stage 2 passes through pipe 8 and cooling coil 9 back to second stage 3 and thence down through pipe 12 to a perforated pipe 13 through the cooling medium 10 and out through filter 16 to be used. The box is strong enough to withstand the pressure and may be provided with rollers 6.
