Abstract

298,018. Gimson, J. F., and Baker & Co., Ltd. Jan. 18, 1928. Pottery surfaces, ornamenting.-The surfaces are made with slight indentations, recesses, or irregular cavities, and are painted in ceramic colours while the articles are in the clay or bisque state, and then are glazed and fired. Or the indented bisque ware may be glazed, then painted in coloured slip, and again glazed. The flat portions and cavities produce light and shade effects. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 9793/88 and 14076/91.
