Abstract

297,655. Dehn, F. B., (Rockwood Sprinkler Co.). April 5, 1928. Supporting pipes.-A hanger block adapted to be embedded in a concrete structure for supporting pipes &c. comprises a piece of sheet metal having a flat bottom 14 with an opening 21 therethrough for the pipe &c. supporting rod 12 and integral sides 16 which are adapted to locate a second sheet metal member 20 of inverted U-shape, forming a seal against the entrance of concrete, and are bent at the ends 18 as shown to anchor the block in the concrete. The sides 16 of the first piece are provided with two pairs of parallel ribs 17 to hold the second member in place and two grooves 15 to facilitate the bending thereof, while perforations 19 are made in the bottom 14 to receive nails 10 which are driven into the bottom board 11 of the mould of the structure.
