Abstract

297,196. Norris, E. D. T., and Ferranti, Ltd. Aug. 8, 1927. Transformers.-In a, transformer winding of the kind comprising several parallel-connected strands a, b whose relative positions in the winding are interchanged at intervals, account is taken of the difference in direction of leakage flux near the ends of the winding as compared with the middle part by subdividing the conductors near the ends into parts c, d and e, f that are then crossed over in the direction at right angles to the cross-overs in the middle part of the winding.
