Abstract

296,942. Wright, J. B. Jan. 17, 1928. Sealing devices for stoppers.-In a lever lid tin, the outside edge of the ring stamping is continued upwards and is then curled, crimped, &c. inwards as at A to form a continuous ledge above the level of the lid B. The ledge facilitates the removal of the lid by a lever and is adapted to receive the wide ends of a spring strip E<1> which prevents accidental loosening of the lid.
