Axle structures.-The wheel 13 and brake-drum 12 are detachably secured between. the flanged cap 14 and a flanged sleeve 5 ,which is splined to the end 8 of the live axle 9. The wheel is arranged directly over a ball-bearing 5 the fixed race of which is clamped between a nut 6 and a shoulder 25 on a. sleeve 4. The latter is .stepped to engage shoulders 2, 3 on the axle-sleeve 1 and is pinned thereto. The outer ball race is held between a shoulder on the sleeve 7 and a. disc 10 carrying the wheel-attachment, bolts 11. The brake drum 1.2 is closed by a plate 19.
