Abstract

Projection screens.-Apparatus for use in making graphic or other reproductions of images projected by a microscope which is not itself carried by the apparatus comprises a carrier for a sheet of tracing paper &c. on to which the image is projected, the carrier being adjustable in position on a body portion which may be clamped or otherwise secured to a table &c. As shown in Fig. 1, the carrier comprises a sheet of glass in a frame 32 resting on horizontal limbs 33 of bars 18, 19 above a microscope 34, the bars being braced together and vertically adjustable in guides 15, 16 secured to uprights 10, 11 carried by a plate 12 held on a table by a separate clamp 17. The limbs may be supported by struts 22, 23 and may be hinged to the bars to facilitate transport. Constructional details of the apparatus, and of means for clamping the bars 18, 19 in any position, are described in the Specification. Fig. 3 shows an alternative construction in which the glazed frame 67 is detachably carried by a vertical rod made in separable parts 59, 60, and adjustable in clamping rings 55, 56 secured to a bar 38 connected to a plate 41 which may be clamped to a table. The apparatus may be used for photographic reproduction in a dark room, and the space between the glazed frame and the eye piece of the microscope may be enclosed.
