Abstract

293,161. Kantawala, B. H. May 16, 1927. Processes; fibres, batching; yarns. - A substitute for wool is obtained by treating jute waste with an emulsion of ground nut oil and caustic soda and allowing it to stand until it is thoroughly damped and then passing it through a carding- engine. Artificial silk yarn waste can be added to the treated jute waste before it is passed through the carding-engine. The product can be used alone or mixed with natural wool.
