Holders with clamping devices for mops; lug and flange, attachments.-A bundle of yarn is clamped between two metal plates a, b which are secured together and to a cap k fitted with a socket n for the mop handle. Tongues c pressed out from the plate b pass through slots d on the plate a and the ends of the tongues are bent over. Alternatively, the slots d are dispensed with, and the tongues are formed at the ends of the bottom plate and bent over the ends of the top plate. A U-shaped member h riveted to the plate b has tongues h<1> projecting through slots d<1> in the plate a. This latter plate is secured to the cap k bv bolts f and wing nuts m. The socket n is formed with tangs n<1> which are passed through slots in the cap k and bent over. In a modification, the socket is formed with a flange through which the bolts f pass to secure the socket in place. According to the Provisional Specification, the bolts f may be used to secure together the plates a, b. In a further modification, the bolts f are dispensed with and the plates a, b are secured to the cap k by means of interengaging tongues and the slots. In a still further modification, the tangs n<1> on the socket n are used in place of the bolts f to secure the plate a to the cap k.
