Abstract

Sheet feeding and clamping arrangements.- For facilitating the insertion of invoices or the like without disturbing a wider condensed-record sheet, the feed-roller mechanism when released operates levers for gripping the margins of the record sheet. The arrangement shown in Figs. 3 and 5 comprises the usual front and rear feedrollers j, k releasable by depressing a lever m which is connected by a link n to an arm o on a cam shaft p co-operating with levers q. There are now provided fingers r, v for gripping the record sheet, the finger r being formed on the right-hand lever q, and the finger v being arranged at the left-hand side of the platen and being formed on a lever u which rocks on the feed-roller support t and extends under the feedroller spindle w. On depressing the lever m, the fingers r, v pass through slots in the apron e and grip the margins of the record sheet. The fingers may be provided with rollers. For permitting adjustment of the record sheet and invoices, the fingers and feed-rollers can be moved into an intermediate position by rocking a lever y which is provided with a pin z co-operating with a cam 12 on the lever m.
