Abstract

291,783. Pedersen, J. D. June 9, 1927, [Convention date]. Barrels; trigger guards; stocks.-One or more reinforcing members are arranged transversely in the stock of a smallarm and serve to secure the trigger guard or receiver or both; and a bolt securing the receiver to one of these transverse members serves to lock the barrel against unscrewing from the receiver. As shown, a transverse member 199 with studs 200, 201 extends across the stock 1 behind the magazine 2', and the front end of the trigger guard 7 is secured thereto by a bolt 202. Another similar transverse member 203 extends across the stock at the front end 206 of the receiver 2, which is secured thereto by a bolt 207. The end of this bolt fits into a notch 209 in a flange 3<1> on the barrel 3, and prevents the unscrewing of the barrel from the receiver 2, and also ensures that the barrel is properly screwed home into the receiver before these parts can be attached to the stock. The rear ends of the receiver and of the trigger guard are fastened to the stock by a bolt 194.
