Fixed-abutment type, ; packing abutments.-A pump employed as an auxiliary compressor or booster for refrigerating machines with reciprocating compressors, and of the type comprising a rotor 42 with radially sliding vanes 44, is provided with a longitudinal sealing-strip 49 near the discharge ports 18, engaged by atdjustable springs 54. A small passage 53 provided in the strip establishes communication between the pressureside of the pump and the recesses 51 behind the strip.
